Construction of a high performance liquid chromatography system and column for metal analysis
Main Article Content
Abstract
It was constructed an equipment for High Performance Liquid Chromatography with a syringe pump, an injector port for 1 μl sample size, a column prepared in situ for cationic exchange with SO3- as active group, for the separation of metals as Al, Zn, Cd, Mg and Ca, that were complexed with HQS 0.2 mM at a flowrate of 3 μl/min, before its separation into the column and detected by a fluorescence detector, to obtain a detection limit of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 5 and 8 pg of Al, Zn, Cd, Mg nd Ca, respectively.
