Geochemical characterization of the environment in a Cuban oil field. Part 2: water
Main Article Content
Abstract
A study over the environmental geochemistry in the Pina oil field was conducted, including the characterization of air, water, and soil matrixes, by applying the integral study concept, from the emission source till the technological solution. Water samples from 18 receiving pits of drilling wastes and Collector Unit of Pina oil field, were characterized with a view to determine the pollution level of them in relation to the environmental regulation for this kind of wastes. Technological solutions are given in order to reduce the environmental impact of the oil activity in the zone.
